Lay me down
where Wild
rests her head
on pillows of moss
green with dew
and soft from dawn. Lay me down
where leaves
dance with sky and
Ravens trace mountains
woven with cedar
and fir. Lay me down
where mind
wanders free
a slow waltz to stillness
and roots
a slow waltz to stillness
and roots
spoon my body
close as a lover.
Lay me down.
Lay me down.
